Hugh, Alex & the RHHVL are maintaining the office presence prior to the arrival of David & Indeg.

AOL has seized. That’s it for e-mail this morning, then. Shortly, a departure to the Isle of Purbeck and Worth Matravers where the UK Guitar Circle has a weekend at the David Donald Field Studies Base.

18.53  David Donald Field Studies Base, Worth Matravers, Isle of Purbeck. Dorset.

The Field Studies Base is a former RAF base. Underneath us, I am told, is a nuclear shelter. We are a short walk from St. Aldhelm’s Head over there...

It is cold. But there is a heater under the desk…

The drive here carried me through Corfe Castle...

… where the Sistery Person & her BruVvEr climbed these slopes many times on Sundays in the early 1950s.

Arriving just after noon, lunch and Inaugural Meeting at 14.30. Guitar Meeting at 15.00, tea at 16.00, resuming with guitars at 16.30.

T’ai chi at 18.15.

22.46 Dinner at 19.00. Tasty apple crumble with cream for dessert.

Personal meetings beginning at 20.50. The door to the corridor to the room assigned to The Leader…

For the purposes of this weekend, we agreed that we are all leaders here & I am
grateful to Ernest for vacating his room…

House Meeting at 21.00; Guitar Meeting at 21.30.

The Circle was a full house of guitars: 18 + RF, the size of early GC courses. Circulations. Basic Form to the left with return, moving to +1, and in 3 groups. Two pieces performed by 48 Wires, then a final circulation of C major into 4 octaves ascending & descending.

Not quite sure which time zone the animal inhabits, but it’s an early rise on whichever for the morning.
